That fully-zippered wallet!

Dear fellow Crafters,

Seems like we're in the mood of making more blog posts :D Today I (we!) would like to share something that we separately made, but actually based on the same thing: fully zippered wallet!

Pilot

Second trial

A friend of us requested a fully zippered wallet with the shinkansen fabric that I bought in Japan. It was a challenge for us because we never made one. Then we discussed what is the best way to make one? We googled, research, and it seems the easiest way is using a bias binding on top of the zipper. The result? Voila! We don't have lots of picture for our "pilot" zippered wallet, but these are some of the photos.

As you can see, we used the same outer fabric for the inside. It somehow makes the inside looks very "full" with pattern. We also tucked the end of the zipper inside. However this makes the open-and-closing little bit difficult. As the result, we make another one, which was requested by other friend.

This time, we changed the orientation to horizontal to accommodate the card sleeves on the right and left. We also didn't tuck in the end of the zipper, instead, we let it out to make the zipper moves easier. Last but not least, we changed the tone colour so it looks softer. Unfortunately we only used the usual zipper, not bag zipper like our previous wallet. Nevertheless, this is the result!

So, what do you think?

Regards,

Fili&Lino
